IPS offers a paper fiber analysis course at its Appleton, Wis. testing laboratory. The weeklong customized sessions allow for participants to gain an understanding of qualitative and quantitative analysis and identification techniques for paper fibers.The fiber analysis course combines detailed lectures, hands-on learning experience, personal fiber testing and analysis, a mill tour, multiple concept quizzes and interactive review sessions. The fiber analysis course instructor, Walter Rantanen, has more than 30 years of experience conducting paper fiber analysis courses and has trained many individuals from the paper industry and from organizations such as U.S. Government agencies, art museums and conservation agencies.
The course fee is $1795.00 per registrant and is due on or before the start date of the course. The deadline for registration, including a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure a spot for the course, is two weeks prior to the course start date. The remaining course fee is due before or on the first day of the course. There will be a $100 per person discount for multiple registrants from the same company or organization.
